# Decktopus AI Security and Data Privacy

Decktopus AI is built on secure cloud infrastructure with end-to-end encryption, multi-factor authentication, and a default policy of excluding user data from AI training.

Keeping your data secure is a core part of how Decktopus is built. Whether you are an individual user or part of a larger organization, here is what you need to know about how your data is stored, protected, and handled.

**Infrastructure**

Decktopus runs on AWS cloud infrastructure. EU server hosting is available for organizations with data residency requirements.

**Encryption**

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256.

**Multi-Factor Authentication**

Decktopus supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) via SMS, email, and authenticator apps. Enabling MFA adds an extra layer of protection to your account.

**Data Privacy and AI Training**

Your data is excluded from AI training by default. You do not need to opt out.

**Compliance**

Decktopus is currently working toward SOC 2 Type II certification.
