If you already have a presentation but want to give it a fresh look or use its content as a starting point, Decktopus makes it easy. When you upload a file during the creation flow, you get two options depending on what you want to do with it.
Go to your dashboard and click Create with AI
On the prompt screen, click the paperclip icon to attach your file
Once uploaded, two options will appear: Use as a resource or Redesign
This option pulls the key points from your file and builds a brand-new presentation around them. Choose this if you want Decktopus to extract the content and restructure it into a fresh deck. You can add instructions in the prompt field to guide what the new presentation should focus on.
This option keeps your existing text and structure exactly as they are and only changes the visual design. Choose this if your content is solid but the presentation needs a better look. You can optionally add instructions like "use blue accent colors" or "create a cleaner layout," but the prompt is not required.
After selecting your option, you will be asked how the presentation should be styled. If you have created presentations before, Decktopus will show your previously used styles as ready-to-pick options. You can also select Import from website with AI to apply your brand automatically, or choose Create style with AI to let the AI decide.
Once the presentation is ready, you land in the editor. All the usual tools are available: Edit with AI for AI-assisted changes, Edit Text for direct text edits, Version History, Archive, and Add to Favorites. When you are done, download as PDF or PPT, or present directly from the editor.
